I got a question from a listener, and it is heartbreaking, all the specifics here,

but she's been praying and has not gotten what she wants, and it's been one disappointment

after another.

So she says, why even pray?

And it's a great question.

And I know I'm not going to answer this very well in less than a minute.

But I will say this, I'm really glad we have the book of Job. The Lord did not

has to give us that. I'm glad that Jesus said, and we have him on record saying, in this world,

you will have tribulations and troubles. He said that. It's realistic. We're not assured of a yes

on things that we want.

I know that.

However, we are given a chance to have a loving father to walk through life with.

We do not have all the answers.

And Jesus said, but be of good cheer, I've overcome the world.

It didn't tell us exactly why the answer would be what it is. I don't want to give up interacting with my loving father in heaven

because I got to know that I don't understand.

I don't want to give that up.

Where else do you go for words of life?

What are the better alternatives?

It just looks like nothingness to me.
