Here's your reminder that Jesus talks to hypocrites a lot and calls them out on stuff a lot.

It's all over the place in the New Testament.

I'm so grateful for that.

Maybe you are too.

Because it would be really tough to deal with the hypocrisy that we see that's dressed up as Christianity or whatever.

And then it's just like, oh, ick.

If Jesus never did that.

But he does do that.

He acknowledges that people will want to say things with their lips.

They'll say things because it scores points for them somehow.

They can manipulate, but their heart isn't there.

And he calls them actors.

And he is very direct with them.

I just so thankful for that.

He's the most realistic person who has ever lived.

In addition to being the son of God,

like, because he made us.

He knows.
