Welcome back to Another Focus Friday, where we give you short bursts of information and inspiration to set

your weekend off on the right foot. And today we're talking about the making of an

episode giving you guys the scoop on what goes on behind the scenes when we're

putting out an episode every week.

Yeah, so as a lot of you guys probably know, right now we're doing one interview a week

and we're doing every other week a focus Friday, a shorter episode. and there's a lot that goes into it

and Marty and I just want to give you guys the details and take you behind the

scenes and just share. Yeah it's not as simple as it might seem. You may not even know what goes into

publishing an episode, but it's not as simple as just pressing record and having a quick

call with our guests. There's so much more. So we're going to walk you through the process and give you guys a little glimpse of our life.

So it starts out with reaching out to potential guests. So, Barney and I have a list and we keep adding to it over time of people we want to interview for the show.

And what we'll do every once in a while when it gets to the point in our calendar when we need to fill it up again

is we'll go through that list and we'll reach out to a number of guests and we do this

through a number of different ways. We'll do it through Twitter, we'll do it through

email, and now that the show has gotten to the point it's at now and grown to this point,

there's a lot of people reaching out to us on a regular basis wanting to be on the show or PR people pitching potential guests to us.

So there's a lot of different ways that we're connecting with our

guests. So from there we're often coordinating with that PR person or whoever the

contact is and trying to get that guest scheduled into our calendar. So
