haven't become enamored with yet but are about to and takes their creative process and puts it under the

microscope and then tries to make them personally cry. Today we hit a stone wall on that front

with the incredible Julio Torres.

Probably my favorite moment in this interview

is the bit where I ask him if he's able to change

gear in the incredibly unique style that he has. And we're going to go into it on depth.

He was just one of my very favorite acts at Edinburgh last year and I've been saving this one up for a snowy day.

I ask him if he's able to change gear using his unique pace in the type of show that he's doing,

which will go into a detail, he looks me in the eye and pauses and says,

no.

And it's absolutely wonderful. I've got so much time for Julio. Congratulations for downloading this if you're a British listener and haven't heard of him. He doesn't have a massive profile over here, but I hope he comes back here and does more work soon. He's a writer for SNL and also one of the most

sort of starkly creative and just enthralling performers that I've seen in a very long time.
