It's just the usual activity. The cocktail of the week this week is the elder fashioned. So you've heard of an old fashioned. Yes. Another word for old is elder. And elder is also a type of flower. Elder flower. That is so clever. So it's kind of like an old fashioned made with elder flower. The core. So it's whiskey. You could just kick guac's butt off the couch there. Just give him a little push. He's got that.

High ground. I think you want him to be in the way a little bit. All right. So the elder fashioned two ounces of whiskey, one ounce of elder flower of the court, two dashes of angastura bitters, put in a little club soda. It's really tasty. I really liked it. It's like herbal. A little bitter, which I like. Yeah, but not super bitter. Like there's not an amaro in it. Yeah, that's right. I really liked it. I thought it tasted a little magical magical almost like a.

Tincture or an elixir. Oh, I like it. I like it. So you can get Saint Germain as your. Which has a very cool bottle too. Yeah, it will look. It'll make you look very, very fancy. You know how we can tell that we have Saint Germain because of the new cabinet.

We finally got our new liquor cabinet. So if you pay close attention to the snaps, you'll notice that kind of in the dining area, there was a little shelf cavity thing with with doors. And it had like a tabletop height top.

Yeah, like a metal top. We got that when we bought the house because we could afford it. And we needed something to put some stuff in. It did heavy work. It did a lot of work. It helped.

It did. And it was not sufficient to contain all of our liquor. And it could not contain anything except all of our liquor and not even all of that.

So we had this dream of like putting wine glasses in there and fancy glasses. Nothing fit. Not even bottles.

If you have watched the snaps for a long time, you know, in our Maryland house, we have a big kind of wall sized like double bookcase with glass doors that has all of our liquor and our glasses and everything.

And so in August of 2021, I was like, we need to get a big ass cabinet for here. Yeah.

And I bought one from Creighton Barrel. And Creighton Barrel, that exotic overseas niche place where they had to, you know, they had to make it in the back alleys of some small village to their credit.

They did say it would be custom built upon order, though I didn't get to customize anything. It's just like I would like the bottom and then the top.

And they're like, okay, it'll be 21 weeks. So anyway, it arrived one week and arrived this week. So if you pay attention to this now, you'll see we now have this full wall size cabinet.

All of our liquor fits in the top standing up even on the half like half of the top. So there's like top and a bottom half of the top is liquor. The other half is glassware.

Oh, it's so good. And the bottom only has a couple things. We have so much space. Now it has drawers. It's so good.

I'm going to get some nicknacks because you hate that. They're I will just throw them away. Hummel figurines. You can get them and I will throw them away. Hummel.

Hey, you waste your mind. I know it. I'll put them on eBay. And then I'll get some of that money back. That's the best you're going to do.

We can see all of our liquor now. It's organized by type. So the top shelf is whiskey. And then there's a little corner for Janet vodka, which we don't drink much of.

The middle shelf is entirely rum. And the bottom shelf is entirely cordials, you know, amaretto and chienar and whatever. And and the margarita fixings, which is our massive bottle of tequila and the quantity, which will go down there anyway.

That's on the bottom shelf because we use that the most. We really do. Yeah. It's I mean, this is a first world problem or a, you know, not really a problem.

But the cabinet we had before, there were many liquor, liquor bottles that were too tall to stand up. So we had to lay them down, which just bothered me to know it occasionally leak.

Yeah, that's right. I mean, but it's just seem.
