Summary

We live in a time where answers are everywhere, and while language can be incredibly helpful, there's a trap hiding inside all that learning. In this episode, I'm talking about the gap between knowing and doing. Why so many smart, self-aware people can explain exactly what's holding them back and still feel stuck. Why implementation is often less about strategy and more about fear, support, visibility, identity, and consistency. I also share the four things I think most people actually need. - I'd love for you to ask yourself one question: What do I already know that I'm ready to act on? And if the answer is, "I know what to do, but I don't want to do it alone," come join us in BYW. That's exactly why I built it. - Summer School This summer we're bringing in experts to help us think differently about work, money, entrepreneurship, visibility, identity, and growth. Upcoming classes include: Finding Your Breakthrough in Entrepreneurship with Ken Burkeen Understanding Your Numbers with Harquin Personal Brand & Being Seen with Kisha Maldonado Madrid Turning Income Into Real Wealth with Kaya Ladejobi Available live and by replay. Hey guys, this is my league and this is the podcast. You know, I love to come on here after I've had some time to think through a thing or two. And so my latest is to ring the alarm to get you to do something with all of the knowledge you have acquired. I love learning.

continuing to be inundated with access to just about anything. We are being served up and we

talking about anxiety and success.

1:07.9

She is a licensed therapist.

1:09.8

And when she dropped some language on the group, I could see everyone's eyes light up.

1:15.5

She got through about halfway of her presentation.

1:19.9

We're doing like a summer school series.

1:21.2

Y'all know I love a summer school meeting.

1:22.5

But she was talking about the difference between intrinsic ambition and trauma-driven ambition.

1:31.7

And I saw everyone's eyes light up because we love language.

1:37.7

And I get it.

1:38.9

Having language can make something that feels really hard or, you know, maybe you don't, you haven't been able to

1:46.8

pin it down. It feels messy. Having language makes that feeling, you know, more understandable.

1:53.7

And being able to use and say phrases like, you know, that's people pleasing or burnout and now intrinsically motivated or

2:03.7

trauma-driven motivation. That's a trauma response. And having that language makes things more

2:11.5

understandable. And when we don't have the language, we often feel confused and sometimes maybe even defective but with language I know this we feel seen

2:22.6

and and sometimes we feel a bit of relief a little less alone and being able to dig deeper

2:30.8

and learn more about terms and topics feels very productive.
