His name is Dan Wotherspoon.

Dan has been working hard in the world of Mormon Studies for many, many years.

He has a PhD in religion from the Claremont Graduate School.

He also has a Master's in Religious Studies from Arizona State University.

He's a former editor of Sunstone Magazine, the director of the Sunstone Education Foundation.

He did that for about eight years.

He's done a lot of cool things academically.

He recently helped create the Eugene England Foundation website at EugeneEngland.org.

And most importantly, he's just a towering intellect.

The guy's got a memory that I've almost never seen matched in my professional career.

And the reason why I brought him on today is a couple of reasons.

He's done some recent podcast for us, which we're very grateful.

Some of the best ones I think Mormon Stories has ever had.

But also, I've had many people write in recently with Mormon Stories and request that I interview more people

who have struggled with their faith but found a way to stay in the Church and to have a positive relationship with the Church.

Even when they know all the tough stuff.

And that is a description that I think suits Dan very well.
