Organic REV
The first thing to understand about REV is that it is not an ordinary humic acid product that is chemically-extracted from leonardite, lignite, or other coals. Rather, it is a 100% naturally-occurring carbon, humic acid & fulvic acid source - along with exceptionally high levels of naturally-occurring microbial biomass that can increase nitrogen efficiency by up to 25%.
REV replaces depleted soil carbon & bacterial biomass - and absorbs nutrients to make them more readily available to plants via their root systems.

Welcome back to the Beginners Garden Podcast. You know on this podcast, I try to make sure that whatever

0:06.5

I share with you each week is going to be relevant, applicable, and helpful no matter what stage

0:12.8

you are in your garden. But I specifically want to always speak to beginners so that if you're

0:19.6

just starting your garden or you're starting to expand,

0:23.1

that you'll be able to have some information that will be very helpful for you.

0:27.2

One of the most important topics, especially for beginners to get a handle on,

0:32.6

is whether you should direct sow seeds directly in the garden or start them indoors to transplant.

0:41.4

For a brand new gardener, this can be very confusing because you see people starting seeds indoors

0:46.5

and maybe you think everything has to be started indoors. Or maybe you think, okay, I'm going to buy all these

0:53.0

seed packets and then, oh wait, how do I do that? And so maybe you think, okay, I'm going to buy all these seed packets and then, oh, wait, how do I do that?

0:56.4

And so maybe you start everything in the garden. And not everything is better one way or the other.

1:02.7

In fact, there's a whole group of crops that I always tell beginners start them from seed directly in the garden.

1:10.5

Don't worry about starting them indoors.

1:13.4

Not only is it not necessary in most cases, but you also risk crop failure. And we're going to

1:19.6

talk about that today because there are some crops that, like I said, I recommend that you start

1:24.5

them directly from seed in your garden if you're a new gardener.

1:34.2

But I have been breaking some of those rules the last few years for different reasons with some of these crops.

1:43.4

And so what I wanted to do is share with you how you can successfully start some of these direct sew crops indoors.

1:46.7

There are specific ways that will help you be more successful in this. And we'll talk about why. So if the general rule of thumb is to plant your

1:52.7

bean seeds directly in the garden and not start them indoors, then why might you want to start

1:58.0

them indoors instead? So we'll talk about that. And my hope by the end of

2:02.0

this episode is that you'll get a better grasp on these particular crops that we're going to be talking
