I'm always saying to people, the secret will of God is called the secret will of God because it's secret.

Right.

So I'm never encouraging scripture to get out my divining rod and try to figure out the secret

will of God.

What I'm, what has been enormous comfort to me is I'm called to walk the pathway of

submission to the revealed will of God. Guidance is not my job.

I would have had no ability whatsoever to write my ministry story. None. If you ask me about the grand turns in my story, they all came rather unexpected to me.

Now, I was living, like you say, with intentionality, serious about my relationship with God,

serious about staying inside the boundaries of his will, pressing decisions

through the lens of the word of God. But I didn't have a clue what is around the corner,

because that's not my job, because my Lord hasn't revealed that to me. Because if I had known my story, I would have run as fast as I could.

I would have been quicker than Jonah.

Sure.
