If it looks like a great easy place for you to hunt, you're probably not going to see old deer there because other people have thought it was a great place to hunt and they've probably killed the old deer.

You're looking for things that are advantageous for the deer, not for you.

So if you go into it with the mindset of, oh man, this place has a great vantage point and it has, it has all these things that I can see from Google Earth that other people would easily identify also.

You're probably starting at a disadvantage. If you go into it saying, okay, what looks like a great place for a deer to be hard to kill that has everything he could want to live in.

That's probably where you're going to have a higher success rate on the true deer.

This episode on locating there's obviously a lot of crossover there, but the idea is to move on from preseason scouting and to get into during a hunt.

How are you then locating Mule deer?

This includes things like glassing setups, glassing strategies, where Mule deer seek cover.

We speak with Dione not only just about early season high country Mule deer, but also the transition into rifle season as well.

So this is a very helpful episode kind of the next step if you will when you go from preseason to then locating deer during the field during your hunt.
