0:05.4	distributism, and his book, The Hobbit Party, which he co-authored.
0:10.5	Dr. J. Richards is an assistant research professor at the School of
0:15.3	of Business and Economics at the Catholic University of America and the
0:19.2	executive editor of the Stream. Richards is the author of numerous scholarly and popular articles as well
0:25.8	for books including the Untamed God and the Privileged Planet.

0:37.7	atheism versus theism and the scientific evidence of intelligent design and it was moderated by

1:03.0	a habit party. It came out actually in late 2014 with my longtime friend and
1:08.3	conspirator Jonathan Witt and we timed it actually to come out right before the release of the third installment of the Hobbit movie.
1:16.5	And Witt and I had been longtime good friends since we were about six years old and big token fanatics as kids and
1:25.0	had honestly gotten frustrated because we felt like a lot of people sort of on the
1:28.3	political and theological left have been trying to conscript Tolkien for a long time.
1:33.0	This has been happening since the 60s and 70s
1:35.6	when the psychedelic movement in the US
1:37.9	tried to appropriate him.
1:39.6	And we just thought this is completely unfair to Tolkien's thought.
