0:23.7	covered a whole lot on this show and so that's why I'm really excited to bring you
0:27.4	this episode talking with an ex-Morman. Her name is Lucy Clark. We had a
0:31.9	great conversation about how she grew up in the LDS Church.
0:36.1	And then when she got married and had kids, she sent her kids to a private Christian school.
0:40.1	And the Christians at this school were critical thinkers, they were knowledgeable in theology
0:45.0	and apologetics, and they prayed with Lucy.
0:47.6	They invited her to Bible studies.
0:49.9	And one of the highlights of this conversation for me was when Lucy highlighted the differences, well I should say more the sameness
0:56.5	between LDS beliefs and progressive Christian beliefs. This was actually really eye-opening to me because I haven't studied a whole lot about the
1:04.4	Mormon faith. And so she was talking about specifically the doctrine of the cross, the doctrine of
1:09.9	hell, and human sinfulness and how there's really a lot of overlap between
1:14.0	LDS beliefs and progressive Christian beliefs. So that was a real big highlight
1:18.2	for me in this conversation. So if you have Mormon friends and neighbors, this is an episode for you to just get to know an
1:25.3	ex-Morman and really what helped lead her out of the Mormon Church and into the believing
1:31.6	the authentic gospel.
