Yeah, my body broke down immediately after I left home.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, because I was texting Karen from urgent care.

Oh, where I learned I had acute tonsillitis. It was not cute, y'all.

On vacation, it's the worst. I'm so sorry.

How are you feeling now? Well, by the time you all hear this episode, I'll still be on the antibiotics.

Because that's how medicine works. But I feel great. I feel totally fine. And I didn't feel that bad when I was sick. I just thought I had caught a germ and it needed to work its way out of my body. But now it's being forced out of my body through the power of modern medicine. But all that being said, I wrote, I wrote zero novels while I was gone. I read two novels while I was gone.

And that was just, like, so satisfying to me.

Do you feel like talking about them, or is this a one good thing thing?

It's not a one good thing, but I will tell you that I picked up Sweetbitter.

Oh, yeah, by Stephanie Danler. And I didn't think I was going to like it, and I loved it. Cool. Couldn't put it down. Addicted to it. Sweet bitter. Sexy as hell. Um, that was my vacation. You did some stuff while I was gone, but I'm sure we'll talk about it on another show at another time. Sure. That sounds great. I'm just going to leave people hanging.
