Hey friends, welcome back. Today's episode will be picking up where we left off with this new

series. It's a 10 week series on the top 10 or I'll just say 10 ways to intentionally invest in

your intimacy. I say intentionally because we often maybe are told through

movies or TV shows or country songs that romance and loving connection just kind of happens

because life happens. And actually life happens. So connection doesn't happen. life pulls on us in so many different directions

one of the first things that I've noticed to suffer is our intimate connection both sexually

or emotionally or spiritually deep intimate connection requires intentionality it's true spiritually

it's true in friendships and it's definitely true

in our marriage and in our bedroom life and our intimacy sexually. So we've been talking about

ideas for how to succinctly prioritize intimacy in intentional ways. So we're moving on with week eight this week and I want to

just jump in with a prayer and then we will go, Lord, thank you for our good bodies. I just love to

stop when I say that and breathe and remember that I have a body and that my body is good and my body is a blessing

to worship the Lord that we are to be living, moving, breathing, sacrifices of love for God and the

world to give you God all of ourselves and that talking about sexuality and intentionality in marriage is not a separate

conversation from our faith, but it's completely integrated in. So Lord, we give you our bodies

and our desires and our time and our attention. And we pray that you would direct us into love

for you and in our marriage and for the world.

But today would you give us energy and capacity to consider how we can directly and intentionally point our focus towards love in our marriage.

In Jesus' name, amen.
