So when I got to Edinburgh, like I said, I mean, I didn't even know, you know, I was just,

I wouldn't say I was along for the ride, but really didn't know if I could even make it quite

honestly as a division one wrestler. We can adore anything and adapt and pivot and change.

Wrestling gave us that ability. I would say that nothing in life has impacted me

and things wrestling has taught me in terms of self-reflection, resilience. Stop this.

Some guys have it, some guys don't. Adversity, 100% how to pick myself up and be a man after I failed.

And everything that is shaped my life and what I'm at today would not be there without the values

and basically the lessons I've learned to the sport of wrestling. For me wrestling is saying

my life because it allowed me to focus and channel my energy.

We're fortunate if you wrestled because if you wrestled, natural talent helps,

but it's 5% of the ingredient. It pales in comparison to heart and technique and effort.

It humbled me, taught me humility. Nothing can humble you more than wrestling.

I think it's the learning to adapt, right? You learn how to adapt. You learn how to solve problems.

You know, probably back in my time, that's good wrestling. If you give me one thing more than

for several years before joining Kevin Dresser's staff at Virginia Tech back in 2006. Then he took

over the head coaching duties in 2017 and they've created another ACC dynasty at Virginia Tech.
