0:11.2	She is an adjunct assistant professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders department at the University of Alberta and CXO for Truangle.
0:19.5	She is also an affiliate of the Institute for Reconstructive Sciences in Medicine.
0:24.0	After obtaining her MSC SLP from the University of Alberta,
0:27.7	Gabby started her career as an SLP at the IRSM
0:31.1	where she amassed over a decade of experience assessing and
0:34.0	treating following difficulties in patients following treatment for head and
0:37.8	neck cancer. Gabby then went on to obtain her PhD where her research directly
0:42.3	influenced the design and development of a mobile system for swallowing exercise called the mobility which is now a product of true angle.
0:51.0	During her PhD, Gabby received several personal awards and honors, including the Alberta Innovates Health Solutions Clinician Fellowship.
0:58.0	After obtaining a postdoctoral fellowship in the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta,
1:03.0	Gabby became a co-founder and CXO for True Engel.
1:07.0	Her research brought her to the 2020 Michael Donovan
1:10.0	NFOSD Innovation Award at the Disphasia Research Society Conference and the 2020 ACSLPA
1:18.3	Honor of the College Award.
1:20.4	One of Gabby's favorite academic activities is knowledge translation from publications to presentations and podcasts such as this one, to blogs and educational videos.
1:29.0	She lives in Edmonton, Alberta with her wonderful partner, Jeff, and their three fur friends.
