I'll be chatting all things healing w/ Margaret Vasquez. I know all of us have had trauma, both big and small, we NEED HEALING and JESUS! Margaret Vasquez holds a bachelor’s degree in Theology and a master’s degree in counseling, both from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Certified Trauma Therapist and is founder and director of Sacred Heart Healing Ministries.
For the past 16 years she has treated clients of all ages from around the world in a method of trauma therapy she developed. She now does healing/wellness/and relationship coaching online and provides healing retreats and parish healing seminars based on a Theology of relationships the Lord showed her through her time as a clinical counselor. | 0:48.1 | theology, bond, winding route, but eventually came back and did a master's in counseling. |
| 0:54.1 | Honestly, because I had been in counseling so long myself and nobody could figure out. But |
| 1:00.0 | it was wrong with me. And so I thought, well, I'll figure it out myself. I figured out myself. |
| 1:03.6 | Yes. So I live on student loans instead of disability because I couldn't hold down a job |
| 1:07.7 | because I was such a mess. And so I never went to school to become a therapist. It was, |
| 1:13.0 | I became a therapist by accident, right? I love that. Yeah. You know, one of our good friends |
| 1:18.1 | when he was a youth minister with Matt back in the day, well, before Matt mine got married |
| 1:23.0 | and his wife was so sick and it was the same. They kept trying to figure out and he became a doctor. |
| 1:27.3 | Oh, mainly to help us. I'm motivated for this. I may as well be the one. Yeah. Yeah. |
| 1:35.8 | So I was really just trying to buy time and ended up halfway through my master's in counseling |
| 1:42.0 | program, going through an intensive method of trauma therapy. And it was night and day difference. |
| 1:49.1 | And so before that, I thought in good conscience, I can't become a therapist because I don't believe |
| 1:53.7 | it works. And after that, I thought, well, I can't not become a therapist because it's |
| 1:57.7 | worth obligation. So so ended up doing that over the last 16 years with your really like clients |
