And our film review this week, our film review is Grabbers. Grabbers was released in

2012. It has 6.3 out of 10 on IMDb and 70% on Rotten Tomatoes. Police officer Lisa Nolan comes to Aaron Island in Ireland, to take charge during a

colleagues two-week holiday. Simultaneously bloodthirsty sea-dwelling aliens arrive at the quiet island to propagate.

As dead whales wash up on shore and people start mysteriously disappearing, officers and a few locals slowly discover their

peril along with one sure defence. High blood alcohol levels, which the aliens can't stomach.

As a storm approaches, enabling hungry hatchlings access to the locals,

an open bar kicks off a desperate bid for survival as inebriated police and friends

stagger to remain cognizant long enough to thwart the alien invasion.

So as always we're going to go for our likes and dislikes for this film.

And let's start with the likes.

So I love an Irish film that has actual Irish actors granted the main police officer is

English man but he does a very good Irish accent so I'll forgive him but actual Irish

actors and a film that is written by actual Irish people is a big plus for me.

I really loved the script for this film. It is very very funny but in the most understated way

there are great little moments of really dry humor and

wit and great little throwaway jokes that I just loved. I loved and I was watching this at like nine o'clock in the morning

...
