Summary

It's time for the latest voyage to Planet Porky so jump on board with the Porkmeister, Mike Parry and rock chick writer extraordinaire, Lesley-Ann Jones.

Today they discuss: James McVey, Porky's multiple engagements, happiness in solitude, Freddie Mercury, the most successful one-hit wonder of all time, Neil Sedaka, tension behind the scenes of BBC Breakfast, the symbolism of your wedding outfit, covering riots in the 80s, obesity clinics, Oprah's make-or-break interview with Adele, Meghan's spat with Piers Morgan, Porky's Scottish football faux pas, coverage of the new Beatles documentary, cheating death by continuing to work if you can, the Elgin Marbles, Libya, a shocking passport revelation by the Porkmeister, and Bob Geldof's incessant moaning. It's the podcast that knows where to find the truth (and the only drink in town); it's Life on Planet Porky.

Now, I was very lucky this week. I

worked with a real rock star, true living rock star. You've met plenty of rocks stars and you're

1:17.1

like Leslie, and you know some of them as friends and you've been reporting on others for 30 years

1:22.6

or whatever. But I met James McVeigh on one day this week when I was working on television, Jeremy Vine on five actually.

1:30.5

And although I've worked with James before, it was during lockdown, and so we were on two monitors, not physically there.
