Leslie Ann, before we start relating our latest adventures,

I just want to say big thanks to everybody who tunes in every week.

We've got a growing number of listeners and tremendous feedback,

and it's nice to know that people appreciate the tales that we tell them.

It really is, and I just love the contact that we get from listeners.

So many great tweets and texts and so on.

It really feels like we have a relationship with our growing flock now, doesn't it?

We do. We do indeed. You're absolutely right.

And the flock, of course, the most important issue when we get around to doing these podcasts.

Now, I was very lucky this week. I

worked with a real rock star, true living rock star. You've met plenty of rocks stars and you're

like Leslie, and you know some of them as friends and you've been reporting on others for 30 years

or whatever. But I met James McVeigh on one day this week when I was working on television, Jeremy Vine on five actually.

And although I've worked with James before, it was during lockdown, and so we were on two monitors, not physically there.

But I met him for the first time this week.

And what a lovely boy he is.

And I mean that sincerely.

The other thing about him is he's just got

married. So, you know, a rock star just got married. You think, golly, what about rock and roll?

But you couldn't find somebody who's less rock and roll than James McVe. Thuring nice guy, thoroughly bright and

intelligent, talking about, you know, the what marriage means to him and all that kind of stuff.
