One of the problems that we've had as parents is we can have that like narcissistic problem

where we try to place these expectations on our kids to fill something inside of us.

You see this, you know, where parents are pushing their kids into, you know, schools that

they went to or sports that they performed or whatever.

But I think underneath that is this, this, I don't know if it's a lie or this belief

that we've had that if we are a Christ follower, we must have a perfect family and that

perfect family is a reflection of our discipleship journey or our sanctification journey.

As a parent, our role changes after our kids grow up, but we're not always ready for the change,

especially if our kids choose different, you know, even seemingly wrong paths.
