Hello and welcome to episode 230 of Geek's Guide to the Galaxy.

Today on the show we'll be discussing the new movie Arrival,

based on the short story story of your life by Ted Chang,

and we'll also be discussing some of Ted Chang's other work.

And this will involve spoilers for the movie

Arrival so just be aware of that and I'm joined by three guests. So first up we've

got Chris Savasco making his sixth appearance on the show. From 2003 to 2009 he was the editor of Paradox,

the magazine of historical and speculative fiction,

and his short fiction has appeared in or his forthcoming in

Nightmare magazine,

black static and space and time, as well as in the anthologies, Shades of Blue and

Grey, Ghost of the Civil War, and zombies shambling through the ages.

He's also written a psychological thriller about Lady Godiva, a wartime resistance thriller

thriller set immediately after the Norman conquest

and a political thriller revolving around the murder of King Edward the martyr,

all of which he's currently shopping around to agents.
