Summary

Sandra Glahn is the author of “Vindicating the Vixens,” which looks at women of the Bible who have been wrongly sexualized and portrayed narrowly by many narratives. Sandra grew up believing that women exist for a singular purpose: to marry and raise a family. She describes the moments and women (women in the Bible especially!) that shifted her mindset to appreciating the skill, strength, and broad purposes for women.

1:48.7	My pleasure. Glad to be here. Yeah. So I want to start with just kind of letting our listeners know,
1:54.6	where are you right now? And what are you involved in? So my headspace is in books. I'm a professor,
2:00.7	but my geographical location is in Dallas, in books. I'm a professor, but my geographical location
2:02.5	is in Dallas, Texas. But I'm a fifth generation, Oregonia, and so my heart's usually always there, too.
2:09.0	Okay. Well, how did you get from Oregon to Dallas, Texas?
