My name is John Boy. I'm coming to you from New Jersey and I've got my best friend Jake.

He's back in Denver. We were in the same room last time. We are not in the same room.

We're talking to each other through a computer screen, the magic of technology.

Baseball, Jake, is winding down. We are so close to the finish line.

There's still a lot of fun questions to be answered.

We've been doing this twice a week trying to figure out how we think this thing is going to finish.

We kind of got the mayhem we wanted this week coming into today. I'm excited. How are you?

I'm doing well James. Yeah man. It's out there.

We've seen this forming for a little bit now. I think the biggest thing is still that one

really good team is not going to make the playoffs. It's crazy the ripple effect that can have

going down the line. I mean obviously not having a chance this year but if it's the Cubs in

the National League that would mean the end of Joe Madden. It's kind of been adding up that way

anyways. I'm just looking at the standings right now and yeah I'm giddy. Tampa and Cleveland are

tied. Right now the Cubs are out Miloake. They are fighting the good fight. So yeah man it's

good and I think a little behind the scenes is I think you and I are stoked as natural Yankee fans

to not be in the wildcard discussion for the first time in a few years because who?

That sucks. I got excited this morning because I got the windows open and fall broke once already

and then it was a fake out and then summer came back. I'm hoping this is the real deal. I mean we're

September 20th now. We're close to October. The Yankees clenched. You and I are Yankees fans. We got

excited about that. It just feels like okay time to move on. We're very close. Now some teams
