Now, let's start with news of Tesla's early discounts to drive sales.

They're currently offering discounts in the United States, just as the quarter begins,

despite the CEO, Elon Musk stating that sales are at an all-time high.

Typically, I tell people the best time to buy a Tesla is the last two weeks

of a quarter when I'm asked for advice. I say get your financing sorted out. Pick the car,

but be flexible and be ready to go. And sometimes it's the last week of a quarter. Sometimes

you've got to choose an inventory car, but you've got to always

take delivery before midnight at the end of the quarter. Now, the company's direct sales model

means it recognises revenue, only when vehicles are actually delivered. There's obviously no

dealerships to sell them onto. Makes excess inventory at the end of a quarter detrimental. Thus, Tesla often resorts

...
