secure a dignified life for everyone living in this country.

My name is Breonna Joy Gray and I'm coming to you from campaign headquarters in Washington,

D.C. Now, in the first two presidential debates, the subject of climate change was covered for

all of 15 minutes. Outraged by the lack of attention to this existential issue, protesters

from environmental groups, including the Sunrise Movement, lobbied the Democratic National

Committee for a climate debate. Not only did the DNC decline to host a debate, but they forbade Democratic candidates

from attending any independently hosted debate on threat of being barred from the next

sanctioned debate.

A move which arguably doesn't make the party look like it has a good faith investment in averting climate change.

That's neither here nor there.

Thankfully, this all-important issue did get coverage in the form of a seven-hour CNN climate town hall.
