From our point of view, one great thing that they did, the Beatles, John Lennon and George Harrison especially, but also the others, the Beatles did was they facilitated the popularization of meditation and Vedanta, you know, by their contacts with the Maharshi, Mahesh Yogi.

Few months back I quoted George Harrison as saying,

God realization is the aim of life and there is a science to it. If you just look at that quote, you'll think that Swami said it,

but it's actually George Harrison.

And John Lennon said in an interview that meditation has made me a better person,

and I was not bad to begin with.

When has made me a better person and I was not bad to begin with. When Malcolm Magaraj raised concerns about meditation,

some objections about meditation,

George Harrison said,

the Maharshi is a completely happy man and Malcolm is not.

So in this faith, and what they said was gold standard for millions of teenagers in those days.
