Hello, I'm Sean Curran, and this is today in Parliament from BBC Radio 4, for Monday the 23rd of March,

when the Prime Minister warned MPs not to expect a quick and early end to the conflict in Iran.

This is not our war and we are not getting dragged into this war.

But MPs raise fears of widening British involvement.

We are being dragged in to an illegal, reckless war on the part of Trump.

Also tonight, an anti-Semitic attack on ambulances run by a Jewish community group

unites MPs in outrage.

I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to Jews across London and the country

and to affirm that hate like this will never be normalized.

But first, Sakeir Stama's appearance before the senior MPs who make up the Liaison Committee

was sandwiched between President Trump's announcement that talks were taking place to end the conflict in Iran

and a meeting of the Government's emergency committee, Cobra, to discuss

the impact of the war on the cost of living. Most of the Prime Minister's 90 minutes with the

MPs was taken up with questions about events in the Middle East, but he began by expressing

his disgust at the arson attack which destroyed four ambulances

belonging to a Jewish community group in North London.

This is not an isolated incident and the rise of anti-Semitic hatred is there for all to see.

He said he'd spoken to the Health Secretary Wes Streeting.

I can confirm that we will replace the ambulances that were destroyed in the horrendous attack.

London Ambulance will have the replacements ready by tomorrow morning at the latest.
