They are kind of myths, kind of legends, and they take place generally in the first century

AD.

Though like anything in folklore, there's room for interpretation there.

Being as it's Irish folklore, they unsurprisingly take place mostly in Ireland.

It's definitely a pre-Christian galaic island, and different beings that may or may not be

gods or goddesses play a role in the stories.
