Hey buddy, I got a robot lawnmower.

Yeah, we talked about this briefly, and I have questions.

Fire away.

Well, I'm kind of pulling some punches here because I, I have some answers since we've talked.

But first, before we get to that, I want to, I want to learn about your experience.

So my understanding is this is a Roomba for your yard.

That's a pretty good description.

Mm-hmm.

It's not as smart as a Roomba.

It's frustratingly dumb. But I think I understand why. It's overly sensitive, right? If it bumps into anything, it's like, I'm done, I'm done, I'm done. I quit. Well, if a Roomba bumps into something, it shouldn't vacuum. What happens? Yeah. Yeah, it just, it just backs up. It's like, I don't care anymore.

But it's, maybe a cord gets sucked up. It's not the end of the world. But, you know, if your robot lawnmower

runs into like a confused elderly woman, I think she just goes straight through the mower. So it's probably overly

sensitive for that reason. But it's not like a super powerful mower. My understanding is, it's like

a little wippy razor blade, basically. It's not like a full on lawnmower. It's not a bushhog

blade, right? No. Most lawnmowers, what you've done, you did a whole lawn series, right? How do lawnmowers work? How did they actually cut the grass? What are the physics of that? It almost rips it sometimes. If it's not a sharp blade, sometimes there's this little airfoil on the back of the blade, and it'll suck the grass up. So it kind of pulls it away from the earth.

So when it pulls it up and then it just hits it so fast, it just often it rips the

blade of grass instead of cutting it.

I'm sure on golf courses and things like that, they use way different techniques,

but your average consumer lawnmower at your house sucks the grass away from the earth and just beats it into submission, just rips the top off.

Right.

So maybe your lawnmower sucks, but mine does not.
