out there who maybe have just heard Hashimoto's or maybe people haven't even

heard of it before.

Let's talk about what it is in a really general sense.

So Hashimoto's is an autoimmune condition where the immune system actually attacks

the thyroid gland.

So when someone has an autoimmune

condition the body is attacking itself in some part of the body, but with

Hashimoto's it's going right towards the thyroid gland. So let's compare this to other thyroid conditions.

Hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, how does it differ?

And that's what most people are hearing most days is hyper, hypo,

and there's also Graves' disease disease which is another form of a thyroid

condition. But what's happening in Hashimoto's is you can experience both

hyper and hypo symptoms and that's kind of what I'm going through right now. I'm kind of in this phase where I'm

swinging between both back and forth, but ultimately if you don't catch it early enough or you let it get the better
