Somebody pointed out that I said California AA all the time and then I stopped saying it

and I kind of missed it. So I'm back in California AA.

This is a conversation I had with an actor, stand-up comic named Alan Havie.

If you don't know his name, Google him, you'll recognize his face. He's everywhere.

I met him at a party a couple of months ago at Jake Johansson's place and you know, it's

one of those things where it's like, I know that guy. How do I know that guy?

In LA, when you have that feeling, it often means they're in entertainment. You know, a normal

outside of LA life, it means, you know, the guy you met him at a party, you see him at

the grocery store or whatever you've seen him around. But in LA, it can often be like,

hmm, yeah, familiar. Well, not really. I remember I had that experience. I was sitting in a waiting

room when I was pitching TV shows. I was at the talent agency and I had just checked in

at the front desk and I was sitting there waiting for someone to come and escort me to the

office where the meeting was. And this woman sat down next to me and we started chatting.

She was really nice, kind of sexy. But I was like, where did I, and I said to her just

spontaneously, they're like, yeah, you know, you and I know each other. We've met somewhere.

And I saw, you know, there's this recognition on her face like you're not used to this,

are you buddy? If she was the woman from the office, the uptight blonde, kind of sexy ice

queen from the office, I don't remember the character's name or the actor's name, but she

is really nice. Anyway, the Alan Havie, yeah, he's been in all sorts of things. So I met him

at this party and then I told this story recently, maybe on Rogan's podcast, maybe here, maybe
