The simple notion that the $100 that I earn, I need to give $40 to Uncle Sam.

But the $100 that I earn in real estate, I can keep all that to myself.

Here in Amazon, on paper, right, I earn like 300 or 200K.

But out of that, I give 40% away.

I would rather earn just like $120,000 in real estate and keep all that to myself

by just spending two, four hours in a week.

This is an interview with Gordon Lopez, and a lot like my interview last week, this is one that's just

inspiring to me, and I feel like is the best of American stories.

This is Gordon's story of actually being born in India and coming to the United States to go to college.

His family saved up money and I'm not going to spoil the whole story, but to help him kind of

just make a leap and come here and study and he studied computer science and eventually got a job

working in Silicon Valley.

So kind of the epicenter of high salary tech work in California.

But he tells his story about how he got a little bit jaded with the pace of life,

with the 80-hour work weeks, with the style of work he's having to do,

and got interested in financial independence and investing in a particular real estate.

And so this story is all about his journey of investing long distance.
