Welcome to Douglas Wilson's The Plodcast, presented by Canon Press. Yes, God, God, God, don't never to...

0:21.8

So welcome to the plodcast. This is episode 2 27. My name is Douglas Wilson. I'm glad that you decided to join us.

So welcome aboard. Let's go. This episode I want to talk a little bit about the Canadian truckers.

0:36.5

And I want to talk about them because let's be frank you and I. The Canadian truckers made me happy.

0:43.7

Part of the reason I was so happy is when so many people,

0:48.5

particularly in places like Canada,

0:51.2

rolled over to all kinds of overweening overreach on the part of the government

0:59.0

with a few courageous Canadian pastors standing up here and there. It is very easy to assume that everybody's gone brain dead.

2:07.7

2:15.0

Now I think that they're probably more aware of their vulnerability

2:18.8

than the people are, but this illustrates what I think is the bottom line in this. What we're seeing is a political

2:28.8

seismic shift when it comes to practical politics. So if I'm a I'm a principled conservative and all

2:36.4

the things I believe about free trade and economics and a stable social order and all of those things I still believe I still hold to the same things.

2:47.0

The things I learned out of all the books that I read are they're constant.
