Welcome in, everyone, to this week's edition of the Deer Hunter podcast.

It is Friday, December 10th, early hours of the morning as I am cutting this intro in,

and I am up and out in studio packing up gear for a

excursion north this evening Ryan Drew myself and I believe possibly Ryan Silver

joining us we are heading north tonight to the battlegrounds of mid-northern Michigan to go get into.

They got over the tail end of last weekend, they got around 10 inches of snow and then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,

even up till yesterday, I think it snowed every day up there. I haven't got an updated report as of

today, but I believe that we're going to be in over a foot of snow. So it's been really cold up there the last couple days.

It's been in the teens during the day and in the single digits at night.

But today they're getting a warm up.

It's going to be into the mid-30s and then same for tomorrow.

So it's going to be absolutely ideal.

Well, maybe not absolutely ideal.

The snow is obviously going to be deeper than what is necessary,

but we're going to have good conditions for tracking and still hunting.

That snow is going to be soft and quiet.

There's supposed to be a 15 to 25 mile an hour southwest wind

tomorrow. So our plan is to basically get out in the morning and sit for the first, you know,
