In 1268 BCE, approximately, the Queen of Egypt, Nefertari was dead.

Mummified and encased within beautiful coffins, the Queen was taken from the west bank

of Wasset, modern Luxor, to her special tomb

in the valley of the Queens.

That tomb is probably one of the most famous from the New Kingdom period.

It is also one of the best preserved, and arguably the most beautiful of all.
