oftentimes there are things we walk through that don't make us happy and that are really hard for us and that don't make any sense to us.

But that's where this promise is totally tied in verse 28 to what happens in verse 29 and 30 where God tells us what his purpose is for us.

All things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose.

His purpose is that we might be conformed to the image of his son, that we might be
