but with surprising origins.

Some are stories that might be new to you, but are definitely worth listening.

Today's story is a long one, as you can probably guess from the runtime.

And it's an interesting one.

First told in the 1500s, it's set in Cyprus, a large island in the Mediterranean,

and it involves, well, guys making some pretty questionable choices,

and supernatural powers, rewarding them for their, once again, terrible decision making.

Basically, the protagonist gets a powerful supernatural item that changes his life

and that of his children forever.
