There's an interesting you know bit when people drive around in cars that the car industry has done a just phenomenal job of taking what is

Primarily a mode of transportation, you know, you get from A to Z, and really

just burying it with emotion. So when you watch a car commercial you you try and be aware

of the kind of emotion that they're trying to get out of you that they're trying to

convey and they're just masterful at it. So it's a car. Just A to Z, right? No, it's totally

emotionally charged. And then you think about people's identity and how much work has gone into making sure that

we see ourselves as a certain type of car or is driving a certain type of car, I should say.

I used to drive a very beat up old Honda Civic.

May she rest in peace.

And that Honda Civic treated us well for a really long time, about 10 years,

and we bought it when it was, I I think four or five years old.

It was an old car, had a lot of mileage, and did the job, A to Z.

And I'll admit, when I was shopping around for a new car, and it's a fancy car,

when I was shopping around for that new fancy car I'll admit

here to the interwebs to all you faceless individuals out there that the hardest part for me

was letting go of my identity that was attached to driving around in a beater of a civic.

And I'll admit that I was pretty proud of the fact that I was doing pretty well, business owner,

you know, I mean it's not like the business is, you know, going to make me filthy, filthy, rich or anything. But, you know, successful business,

you know, lots of employees, at least far, far more
