people over there, of course. And here's a special for you. I got with Neil Oliver last week,

and the edits just out. We had a superb conversation. We covered, as you can imagine, everything.

Philosophical, historical, geopolitical, the whole lot. So enjoy.

Today's guest is a chemical engineer, which is a line of work that falls into that category of jobs, which is a big category of jobs for me, which I don't really understand.

But my dad-in-law, Trudy's dad is an engineer and a rotating machinery engineer.

And because of the word engineer, I am always open to listening to people that have practical problem-solving skills that I lack.

So Ivor's professional background is interesting to me.

It's someone that I automatically pay attention to,

as well as being in the chemical engineering line,

specifically to focus that down.

Ivers working life has been about leading teams to solve problems.

And by God, we don't have problems to solve at the moment.

And if an engineer can bring that kind of skill set,

then I am ready to listen.

I just thought I'd just thought I'd kick off by inviting you to speculate about, in that context of problem

solving, which science sounds like the best means to solve problems, has the public perception

of science been damaged and undermined by events in the last several years.
