spooky story for you today, and today's story comes from Wayne from October

let's get into it. Family holiday is a great fun. Everyone gets to relax, parents

can stop being parents for a while, and kids can run around their hearts content.

These are the times where core memories are formed, and according to the ads, you

can be the person you want to be. However, not every holiday is quite as

idyllic as this. I had one of those holidays back in 2006, and informs the basis

for this story, my second eerie encounter. In August of 2006 I was a proud dad to

young son Gabriel, and happily engaged to my future ex-wife Helena. Helena,

among other things, was a professional photographer, and had been commissioned by

the people of Gia to come to the island and take pictures for their new website

to help promote the island after the people bought it from the previous owner,

a man by the name of Derek Holt. As part of the arrangement, our accommodation

was covered, and we would be staying the weekend in a place near the beach, called

the Ferryman's Cottage. Gia is a small island off the coast of the Mull of

Kin Tire, covering an entire area of around 13.95 km squared. It is home to

around 170 of the nicest people you will meet. At the time I thought I'd heard of

it, but knew nothing other than it seemed familiar. Given we had Gabriel, who was

nine months old at the time, and we had not had a break away for months, we jumped
