Hello, welcome back to the show.

I'm excited to introduce a brand new show today.

Not just a new episode, but a new series.

It's called Creators and Innovators.

And it'll be focused on precisely that, people who are pioneering in their space.

Many of the interviews that I've done on Surf Splendor are interviewing people about their

history and their contributions

to surfing. Creators and innovators will be more focused on the now, some origin story stuff

and some character study, but much more motivational and more of a blueprint for how to do it,

how to make influential change. Surfing will be relevant to each story, but not the focus.

This show came as the result of months of conversations with the crew over at Vistla.

A number of the employees had been listening to this show over the years.

They understand the medium. So we eventually had a meeting, and to their immense credit, they basically just asked

what I wanted to do, how I wanted to expand my interest in podcasting and in storytelling.

And ultimately, this is what we've come up with. They are backing it. And we have a lot of

interesting concepts and stories to tell. so I hope that you enjoy it.

Surf Splendor will still be published weekly.

I'm going to maintain that schedule.

The Grit and Spit and Donnie Brinks new show, Swell with My Soul, all published biweekly,

and then this show will be once monthly through the end of the year.

And as with all new show launches, it's available on its own podcast feed. So you have to subscribe to that separately. I'll publish the first

couple of episodes here just so that everybody makes that transition. But you can find that
