There was a part one

Of our closed case episode involving Irene And Father Fight. Yeah, so we are going to do a

super quick recap and then we will pick up where we left off. Irene Garza goes to Mass and

confession the night before Easter in 1960 and she does not come home. Their really only suspect at this point

is Father Fight who did her confessional that night. She was last seen with him about 8 p.m. that night

and she was found in a canal submerged in water and they found a Kodak film viewer in the canal that belonged to Father Fight.

Then they find out about a recent attack of a girl in a church by a priest who fits the same description of Father Fight.

Father Fight goes on trial for that attack.

It's a hung jury. He pays a fine. The church doesn't want the scandal he's bringing. So they ship him off to a monastery. Meanwhile, Irene's case has gone cold. So that's where we're going to pick up.

And Father Fight is not loving monastery life.

So he goes to New Mexico to join the servants of the paraclete in 1966.

This went a lot better and he actually rose through the ranks and became one of the quote higher-ups.

Now this means that he was the supervisor of other problematic priest, specifically, those who are rapist.

So there's a lot of them that they need a higher-up to be in charge of it.

His job was to decide how and when they could resume their normal duties.
