Hey, what's up everybody?

Welcome to Trust and Believe today.

I am coming to you from Seattle.

I'm in a bathroom right now because there's construction outside

and I didn't want to have too much extra sound,

bad sound quality while I recorded this podcast.

Today I'm going to talk to you about a very pretty emotional and touchy subject that I never

really talk about as a fitness guru if you will and I don't necessarily like the title fitness

guru so I'll say fitness motivator.

For so many years, I stepped in a group exercise room and really inspired and motivated people through movement and my voice to lift them up, to say, hey, you want to be healthier, you want to push harder, you need extra

motivation, great.

That's what I know how to do.

That's what I was trained to do.

That's what I educated myself to do.

I lived in many different countries on many different continents,

in many different cities with many different types of people. And whenever I walked into a room,

I've never once said, I wonder how many white people in here.

I wonder how many black people are in here.

I wonder how many Turkish people are in here.

Even when I was in Turkey, I didn't count the amount of Americans that were in the room.

And so when all of this...

This... when all of this, this, I don't even know what to call it, when all of this pain hit America in the last couple of weeks regarding the George Floyd murder, a lot of internal feelings started to just fill up in my gut,
