Summary

Summer vacation has concluded and Door Bumper Clear returns after race weekend at Watkins Glen International. Brett Griffin joined Freddie Kraft as co-spotters at the road course and they share their experience, including the story of Freddie’s new nickname. T.J. Majors and Joey Logano found themselves on the wrong end of teammate Brad Keselowski’s spin yesterday, hear what happened and how it impacted the No. 22 team’s day. After vacationing in the same place, Casey Boat and Brett ended up on a flight home together. You won’t want to miss their story on what went down. The gang then gets into what happened in New York over the weekend, starting with their overall reaction to the quality of the racing and what type of track The Glen is turning into. While battling up front midway through the race, Kyle Larson spun Christopher Bell entering Turn 1. Find out how the guys reacted and what they thought should have happened. On a quest for a Watkins Glen three-peat, Chase Elliott faced adversity from the start after failing pre-race inspection. Hear what concerning trend is developing in NASCAR regarding cheating and what the spotters think needs to happen to correct it. With three races remaining in the regular season, Denny Hamlin and Larson are now tied for the points lead. Who has the upper hand? The crew debates this, plus whether Jimmie Johnson could have won seven titles with a different organization. Ty Gibbs claimed another Xfinity Series road course victory on Saturday, giving the No. 54 team a fourth consecutive win. Is it the fast car or talented driver making the difference for this group? The guys weigh in with big differences of opinion. Trackhouse Racing has tabbed Ross Chastain as its second driver for 2022. Was that the right play? Should they have targeted an A-level driver? Why is Justin Marks happy Chastain didn’t bring funding? These questions are posed by the panel as silly season continues to take shape. After seeing a photo of Kyle Larson signing autographs post-race on Sunday, it spurred the question of what driver and fan interaction should look like heading into the playoffs. Hear what the spotters think about the risk competitors might be taking as they prepare for a championship run. The Cup Series will compete on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course for the first time this weekend. Hear what problem the gang thinks this race highlights and whether they believe NASCAR still belongs at the famed track. In Reaction Theatre, the fans bring the weird after the off-weekends and another song gets knocked out of the park. In What an Idiot, hear about the day of an intern turned driver in the Xfinity Series race.
