And our film review this week, our film review is The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer was released in 2017. It has 7 out of 10 on IMDb and 79% on rotten tomatoes.

Dr Stephen Murphy is a renowned cardiovascular surgeon who presides over a spotless household with his wife and two children.

Lirking at the margins of his idyllic suburban existence is Martin, a fatherless teen

who insinuates himself into the doctor's life in gradually unsettling ways.

Soon the full scope of Martin's intent becomes menacingly clear

when he confronts Stephen with a long forgotten transgression that will shatter his domestic bliss forever.

So this film was directed by Yorgos Lanthemos. I think I'm saying that correctly, but Yorgos

Lanthemos is the director behind Poor Things. He also did The Lobster and The Favorite,

neither of which I've seen seen but I've heard people say good things about those

films I had just been to see poor things this week and I absolutely loved it I had never seen anything by this director before and I thought that poor things was just

so bonkers and fun and

poignant and lots of other things and I really enjoyed it so I was really excited to see this film too and I had

read that this film is like similarly different and similarly kind of off the beaten track to what poor things was and indeed as I've heard the lobster and the favorite.
