Hello, hello, welcome to Side Usual School. My name is Chris Gillibot, your host, and also this

is Failure Friday. Failure Friday are weekly segments, all about mistakes, missteps, disasters,

and failure. All based on the principle that we can learn as much from failure as we can from

success, if not, in fact more. I have so enjoyed working on all these stories, hearing different

things that have happened to people. Sometimes they're humorous, sometimes they're like, oh my god,

of something and then that expectation meets reality and then what do you do? Presumably,

at some point what do you learn through the experience? So today's short story features Jan

from Denver. Jan hoped to become a travel agent and she was ready to take flight, but alas failed

to receive takeoff clearance. Well actually that's a lot of metaphors. She did in fact receive takeoff

clearance. The business was going okay at least in the beginning, but a trip she booked for 10 clients

becomes unexpectedly canceled and that kind of sets off in other series of events. So let's hear
