I want you to write this quote down.

0:02.7

If you have a problem that can be solved with action, you don't have a problem.

0:11.9

So a lot of us talk about the problems that we have, but they're actually not problems.

0:17.2

We're stuck in one of the traps of self-doubt.

0:34.8

And my favorite quote from this clip is this, if you have a problem that can be solved with action, you don't have a problem.

0:56.8

That is so true. If you have a problem right now, you know that, okay, I can make this problem go

1:01.6

1:23.4

It's not a problem.

1:24.7

Another thing that I really enjoyed about this clip is when she's talking about

1:29.0

the connection between developing competence or developing skills and your level of confidence.

1:37.1

1:46.4

life feeling absolutely useless. You want to feel like you have some purpose. You want to feel

1:50.8

like there's something that you can bring into the world, right, that you can help other people

1:54.2

with. And so developing skills makes you feel useful. It makes you feel like, yeah, I can do something, right? I have some impact here. But if you don't have any skills and you don't have any real competence and mastery at anything, you can kind of get into this kind of nihilistic state of mind where it's like, what's the point? Because there's nothing that you're bringing. There's no value that you're bringing into the world as valuable as you are like inherently and innately. There's no real value that you're bringing into other people.
