Hey everybody, I hope your week's going well.

This is Chris coming to you from Portava, Aorta, Mexico.

I didn't bring any recording equipment with me on this short trip down here.

I just came down to see a friend and get a little sun.

I know that sounds ridiculous to those of you who are living somewhere with snow and rain,

but even Los Angeles has been kind of dark and gloomy recently.

And anyway, my friend spends the winters down here in Portava, Aorta.

So I thought this was a good time to come down and hang out with him a little bit.

And I didn't bring recording equipment because I thought I'll just be a little late next week as I often am.

But, partly, I feel like it's a good time to keep the ball rolling because for some reason,

the downloads are going through the roof.

Thanks to you, probably, telling people about the podcast.

For some reason, since September, so downloads have been going up about 10% per month,

probably, something like that, to give you a sense.

At the beginning of 2016, the podcast was getting around 130,000 downloads per month,

something like that. And last month, it got 350.

And so far, this month, it's on track to get over 400,000 downloads in the month of January.

So I thought maybe this isn't a good time to interrupt it because there are probably a lot of new

listeners and I want them to understand that I release this damn thing every week, just about

every Monday. Sometimes I'm off by a day or two, but you can expect at least four episodes

a month. So anyway, I'm going to release this. I'm recording this intro on my phone.
