Happy, happy, happy new year everybody. It's 2017.

Wow, 2016 was one for the record books, huh?

Yeah, lots of tragedy, lots of death, lots of mourning grieving.

Lost a couple people from the podcast, actually. We lost Bennett.

Those of you who have listened to this for a while know that Bennett owned

short design t-shirts and he was the first person who reached out to me and said,

Hey, man, I love your podcast. Let me support you by sending you

these t-shirts at a ridiculously low price, which you can then sell.

And I'm not asking for anything.

But just out of gratitude, I've supported short design for whatever that's worth,

which was absolutely nothing in the early days when I had 300 listeners.

But Bennett was there and Bennett was great and I always wanted to meet him,

I always wanted to get to Thailand and get to know Bennett a little bit.

And I finally did.

And he had leukemia, he was being treated.

I didn't know anything about it until I, like a week or so before I was arriving in Thailand

and I emailed him and said, Hey, man, I'm going to be in Thailand.

I'll come up and visit you in Chiang Mai.

And he said, yeah, I might be in Bangkok then. Let me know when you get here and

we can meet in Bangkok. And so I emailed him again when I arrived in Bangkok.

I'm here, you know, should I come see you in Chiang Mai? Are you in Bangkok?
