So is this the first time either of you had seen this movie before? God, no, although I only ever seen it on TV before now. Oh, really?

I wish you were as cool as I was who saw it in theaters opening weekend. Oh, yeah. I think I've seen all alternate endings, though. Yeah.

So my problem is I know there's a bunch of alternate endings to this. Yeah. I was like, what was the ending in the movies? Is this different?

And I was like, I don't care. This is different. The one we watched last night via Amazon. Did we all watch Amazon? Yeah. I watched it on 2B. Okay.

So you might have had a different ending than we did. The one that we watched. I watched on Amazon was different than I had seen previously, but I knew it existed.

Page, I'm pretty sure the one that we watched was the theatrical because it had a happy ending in the theater. It does, but it's not the theatrical one, because I actually know it's on what the theatrical one is.

Because I remember him getting out and like being okay. Okay. See, I had only ever seen it where he got out and then it was all of a sudden back in and could never get out.

But then there's a third alternate ending where he gets out, but she can't hear the voice on the recorder. Yeah.

So the one I saw on 2B was he gets out and they both hear the voice on the recorder. Yeah. Okay. So that must be the theatrical. That must be the theatrical one.

It's not the theatrical one because I have notes on what the theatrical one was and the one that's on the DVD is also not the one we just saw.

Interesting. So yeah, I was very surprised to see that ending. And it's based off a Stephen King book, right? Short story.

Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So there are multiple ending for the film version. One has him fading from room 1408 following Kate.

That is technically the theatrical release. It was the one that was on the DVD and most digital versions depending on when you saw the movie.
